Squid Squad is a play-based survival swim program that teaches children ages 6 months and up independent water safety skills through weekly one-on-one lessons.
We bridge the gap between traditional group swim lessons and intensive survival programs by offering individualized instruction that works for busy families. Through consistent, weekly one-on-one lessons with experienced instructors who focus on a child's individual needs, children build strong, independent swim skills without the pressure of swimming multiple times a week.
We operate out of several contracted pools at local recreation centers and hotels, allowing us to provide high-quality instruction in warm, comfortable environments without the limitations of a single facility. Currently, Squid Squad offers lessons at four locations around Denver:
Englewood Recreation Center
1155 W Oxford Ave, Englewood, CO
Element Denver Park Meadows Hotel
9985 Park Meadows Dr, Lone Tree, CO
Marriott South Park Meadows Hotel
10345 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, CO
Fairfield Inn – Aurora Medical Campus
13851 E Harvard Ave, Aurora, CO
Survival swim lessons teach children essential, life-saving skills designed to keep them safer in and around the water. These skills include back floating, rolling to breathe, changing direction, and safely reaching the pool’s edge.
At Squid Squad, we know that play is essential to learning. We combine singing, toys, playtime, and splashing to support independent skill development. Survival swimming doesn’t have to be scary; we strive to create a sweet, safe environment where kiddos feel confident and supported as they learn. Play is progress.
With our curriculum, children learn how to move independently, rest when needed, and continue swimming toward safety. This method not only prepares kids for unexpected situations but also helps them truly learn to swim, building confidence, body awareness, and lifelong water safety skills.
